Service is plus-or-minus, but as you pointed out, if you have warranty
issues, you will need to take/ship your printer to an Epson repair center.
Here in the Denver-metro area, there are several. One of which I've used and
had a great experience (it was funny to carry my 3000 in, and stack it like
cord wood with all the other 3000's).
