Rick,
The likeliness you've cross contaminated the inks is remote. You're more
likely to see ink leaking through the printer following gravity down to
where the printer's support. You can plug the leak with some 5 minute epoxy
(which is very likely used to make the original seals). Make sure there is
something below the printer to catch any ink leaking down and through. If
it gets into unprotected wood, cleaning can be lengthy process.
