I'm using the latest drivers.

It is interesting you mention that your motherboard works. Colorvision 
stated that their lockup problem had been solved with Via chipsets with the 
later spyder models and you've obviously proved their claim.  However, my 
motherboard uses an ALi chipset.  This has no known history of problems by 
Colorvision.

I'll just have to keep badgering away at the various parties involved 
(Colorvision and my system supplier) and see if it can be solved.  
Unfortunately, though my system supplier is known for great support (UK 
local name brand), I can never get through to anyone who is able to speak a 
few intelligible words.  If this isn't resolved soon, I'll take Cathy 
Brown's suggestion and go the ProveIt route.
