pins? You need to pull a couple of sockets out of an old ribbon cable
connector, solder to those, and slip some insulating sleeving over at least
one of them. Fiddly, to say the least. It may be easier to solder the leds
directly to the drive, and make a perspex window in the front panel, so that
you can see the led. Buy 'high efficiency' leds, the odds are that there's a
dropper resistor on the drive to protect it from shorts.


use 2 jumpers. stick the wire in one half, the other half onto a pin. Many drives have enough space to do this
