Re: Getting the right monitor profile

Oh, and by the way, as an aside, I find that under XP there seems to be a
PhotoCal bug. Sometimes, just before luminescence is determined and the
program says it is taking some basic measurements it does not put up the
red,
green, and blue squares (before the RGB guns are tuned). The program has to
be closed and restarted and it usually works. Has anyone else had this
happen?

Yes, I'm using the same version as you, Howard, on my XP machine and half
the time it will lock up hard during the color measuring sequence. So hard
I have to do a reboot. Usually the second or third time it will get all the
way through and create a profile. I got an email from the Colorcal folks
saying that the XP version has been delayed until April. They didn't have a
suggestion as to stopping the lock up. My spider is plugged into a USB hub
and I've heard that it should only go into the USB connection on the back of
the PC so maybe that's it. Since I only use it once a month I haven't
gotten around to changing it.
