Epson + Acro 4 + Acro 5 = Crash

I just tried to print a PDF from Acrobat 4.05a to my Epsons (3000 via 
ethernet, C80 via USB) both attempts resulting in a crash or freeze. 
I can print the same PDF to both printers from Acrobat 5, and I can 
print it to a Laserwriter 8500 from both versions of Acrobat - on 
this machine (G4/500DP OS 9.1).

The file prints from a different computer (G4/450 OS 9.04) out of 
4.05 so I don't think it's the file.
Could it be a 4.05/5 conflict?

Also: I just installed an Epson Perfection 1650 Scanner (Twain 5.53A 
downloaded) which I must mention to be thorough.

I can't remember ever printing a PDF out of Acrobat to an Epson from 
this machine so I don't know when the problem may have begun.
