re: NTFS question

The NTFS uses a 'journaling' system that logs transactions to help recover
from system crashes. MUCH more stable than Fat 32.

Only draw back. If you use other operating systems (Win 98, ME), they cannot
read the file structure of an NTFS formatted partition.

I have two Win98 computers networked to mine, so I installed just the
operating system--WinXP--to an NTFS partition. All other data files and
program files are contained in Fat 32 partitions. Since nothing goes in the
operating system partition except WinXP, there's really no need for the
other computers to access that partition.

Is there an advantage in switching over to NTFS? If so, what?
