Profiler Plus Problems

I am having the following problem with Profiler Plus. Instead of
re-typing, I am just including my conversation with George at
Colorvision. He has responded quickly, but does not look like he will
reply again today and I really wanted to get some papers profiled today,
so that is the reason for my posting here. So it is NOT a knock against
their support. Maybe someone else has seen this problem or has another
idea as to the cause.

George
I did all this already once. To be sure, I just repeated everything you
said to do again. In addition, I went through my registry and removed
all references to Matchlock, Horses, MLock, PantoneColorvision. I then
re-installed Profiler Plus and I still have the same problems. As I
stated earlier, I even did a new Photoshop install and the problem
persists. The sad thing is that even Profiler RGB does not work anymore
and gives me the same problems even after uninstalling Profiler Plus and
re-installing Profiler RGB. . It worked fine before installing Profiler
Plus. What next?

Murray,

This sounds like an installation problem.
Do the following:
Look in the Photoshop Plug-Ins folder
       C:/Program files/Adobe/Photoshop/Plug-Ins
In the Plug-Ins folder -- See if there is a folder named MatchLock
If there is (these are the 2.1 plugins) - move the folder to the
Trash/Waste Bin

Then search for the folder Horses - It should be in Program Files
       Move it to the Trash
(This has the test charts and other reference files
Then:
Search on the words Matchlock and MLock
You may find MatchLock Profiler II and MLock Profiler II Export
These are the v2.1 plugins and may be installed inadvertantly in
one
of the other Photoshop plugin folders - move them to the trash

Then run the ProfilerPlus Installer again

*********************************************
I am using Photoshop 6.01 on a Windows XP system. AMD Athlon 1.4 with an
ABit KG7-R motherboard.
One gigabyte DDR ram. (As you can see, memory is not the problem) I just
installed Profiler Plus 2.2 and have major problems.
I was running Profiler RGB 2.1 with absolutely no problems on this
system until I installed Profiler Plus 2.2 today.

1. My profiles created were very weirdly colored and posterized after
ProfilerPlus install. (totally bizarre)
2. I then started getting the following two errors in Photoshop: "Could
not complete the Export command because of a program error." Followed by
this one "Unexpected error: communications to the Export plugin seem to
have failed. If free memory is tight, quit some other programs and try
again."

3. Now I cannot get Profiler RGB 2.1 to work even after removing
Profiler Plus and re-installing Photoshop with updates and then
re-installing  Profiler RGB 2.1.
