An interim MMR VIS is available. Please begin using immediately. However, because there were no major changes, existing copies of the MMR VIS may be used. The "final" edition should be available in several months.
This is the first VIS to feature a 2D barcode. This will allow providers with a 2D barcode reader and the appropriate software to scan the VIS name and edition date into an electronic system such as an electronic medical record or IIS, as an OPTIONAL alternative to entering this information manually.
