Well River, as a set of reasonably obvious suggestions, first run
updatedb
as root or with sudo
then try a locate some obvious section of one of those file names.  Try the 
file name also as capitalized.  Next time, especially if you are running an ftp 
client such as ncftp, set the download path on the fly, such as
lcd /home/riverwind
