Mysql sets things up so you specify the pager on the command line when you 
start it up.  I can put a script together to handle that.  Now I think 
I'll find out if postgresql can take a pager option on its command line 
too or if the only way to get a pager with postgresql is either to set it 
while in psql or as an option in a command file.
