Flash servers, linux, and access?

Hi all,
 Any thoughts on this in general?  Working with an agency considering a 
service that requires flash servers to run their board meeting on line 
software.
Never been a fan, but I have never tried doing this in Linux either.
If one is using something like fedora of debian, how accessible is it in 
speakup for example?  If not there, does it work with anything else?
