questions about operating systems built on linux

Title: questions about operating systems built on linux

Hello!
I have  questions about two operating systems I have heard are very much like linux.
The first is  free bsd, and the other is lindots.
Now I wonder if both are free, and if we blind people can use both.
Can I run the same programs as under for example fedora?
