I have Fedora 10 with RAID5, but can't access other disks since patch is missing. OS is installed on AHCI. I get error "kernel doesn't support dmraid45" when using 'dmraid -ay' command.
I downloaded patch, tried it under /usr/src/kernels but it would never load although I have all devel & kernel sources.
I googled online & checked any resources to no avail. Also, this is the first time I'm using dmraid.
Can someone enlighten how to do it or under what directory to patch? The error I get is "no file to patch" or it will say "diff, you must provide file to patch ...". Also the file I downloaded was .bz2 I believe.
the patch is from here: http://people.redhat.com/~heinzm/sw/dm/dm-raid45/
Please reply
