Hi.
I've been fighting with an IBM xseries 3550 with sata drives on a mirror
configuration.
First of all work to make a correct initrd to boot from usb, since I
dont have any slots to add any other harddisk to the server.
Second, when I was first running, I get messages from dmraid, from the
current tarball, about Unsupported Block Size of 2048.
I tracked down the message, at lib/dev-io.h and found a little
validation. I commented the validation code out, with out fear :) and I
was able to activate the raid.
BUT, my last issue, is. That at the bios' raid, I set up a 2 disks
mirror raid, or level 1 raid, but the raid that dmraid sets me up, is a
raid 0.
How can I correct this?
I'm using:
Slackware 11.0
dmraid-current
kernel 2.6.22
2 sata drives.
IBM SATA HostRAID.
Thanks.
