Yes, that is the correct file. Any *.conf file in /etc/modprobe.d will suffice but dahdi.conf is the convention. You can also accomplish this from the Asterisk CLI with "dahdi set hwgain". Type "dahdi set hwgain" on the Asterisk CLI for more information.
