Hello, I need to choose a chip able to manage Video+Voice over IP with Linux. Which vendor would you suggest? My main concerns here are: - Possibility to fully exploit the hardware _without_ closed-source modules (especially video compression cores) - Linux support in upstream repositories, possibly with contribution from the vendor - Chip unit price (perhaps in the ARM9 range) Major hardware requirements: Ethernet, QVGA acquisition+compression, video decompression+playback, and some more horsepower for voice signal processing and to run GUI applications.
