MMC error -110 on linux on PXA270

Hi,

I have a PXA270 based board with an MMC/SD card reader and a card.
Linux-2.6.27.9 kernel does not recognize the MMC card. The kernel
prints on the boot console:
mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising MMC card

I searched google and found no solutions for the error.

How to make linux-2.6.27 recognize the MMC card?
