Reg memory map

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

This is regarding Memory map issue.
I am using at91rm9200 processor and 16Meg x 32bit SDRAM,8MB flash and
FPGA.
SDRAM uses NCS1, Flash uses NCS0 and FPGA uses NCS3 as chip select.
>From the bootloader i can read and write to FPGA.
But from linux i cannot do so.
When linux boots up, if i see in /proc/iomem it shows only Flash.RAM and
other memory mapped areas but it doesn't display
FPGA 's area.
Once i ismod the module and if i see that location it shows me the mapping
of FPGA.
My question is
1.Why it is not showing up the mapped area in /proc/iomem when it boots
up.As for as i know bootloader will pass all the board information to the
linux .
Is this means FPGA is not mapped ? and not configured?

2 If so how can i do it from the linux

Regards
