88W8618 - 88W8xx8

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hi all,

i just bought myself a freecom musicpal and want to make openwrt run on
it. the vendor supplied gpl tar bal has a 2.6.16.16 in it, which i
stripped down and started to bump up to 2.6.26. looking through the
kernel changelogs i saw that orion and feroceon were merged around .24.
the 88W8xx8 is feroceon based, but does not seem supported by the
mainstream kernel. is any working on this and/or knows if there are
different "types" of feroceons ? before adding a new arch to openwrt i
wanted to find out first if anyone knows if this can be merged into the
existing orion/feroceom code or if it so different that a new
mach-88w8xx8 should be added. i looked through the headers and the
orion/feroceon merge looks more like a orion merge and the feroceon
register defines seem to be missing .... or am i blind/missing something
here ?

thanks
john
