The cm-x270 is fairly well supported in the mainstream kernel, so there is really no reason to not run 2.6.24/25. I maintain OpenEmbedded support for the cm-x270, and there is a few additional patches available in the OE source tree: http://www.openembedded.org/filebrowser/org.openembedded.dev/packages/linux/linux-2.6.24/cm-x270 > Compulab's so-called "Linux support" website > (http://compulab-systems.com/web/linux/x270/x270_kernels.html) > says "USB devices drivers for PXA270 are not available in vanilla > kernels, and this is the main reason we do not support USB device > functionality on CM-X270", but then goes on to suggest that third > parties may have got this working. Yes, the cm-x270 is fairly well supported in OE: http://bec-systems.com/web/content/view/82/9/ You can also boot from USB flash disk or NFS, and then install an image to the NAND flash.
