I know:		Linux kernel, glibc, uclibc.
Experiences:	very good.
Use:		Widespread in all kinds of uses.
Licenses:	Mostly GPL, but sometimes LGPL, MIT or BSD.
Source:		kernel.org, uclibc.org, gnu.org.
