Lh7A404 framebuffer device output freezing | |

Hi All, I have been working on the LH7A404 CPU with a LPD7a404 board. I'm able to boot both 2.6.19 and 2.6.18rc3 + lh.patch.gz (ftp://ftp.buici.com/pub/arm/patch-linux-2.6.18-rc3/ms34) kernels and mount the rootfs from both initramfs & nfs through the serial console, and get the shell, but when the framebuffer console driver & lcd are enabled the kernel shows messages till the last step of init then freezes on executing the userspace busybox init. The last bootmessage shown in the LCD is : Freeing init memory 92k.. The kernel commandline uses console = ttyAM1 115200n8 console= tty0 The serial output can be obtained from the busybox init by changing the serial devices to their proper naming conventions for SHARP Serial drivers to ttyAMx, in the code. However is it possible that the framebuffer device available from tty0 cannot be accessed by the userspace programs, thus there is no more output..? If anybody has a clue to thesource of the above problems, please help... Thanks in Advance regards Kaushik ------------------------------------------------------------------- List admin: http://lists.arm.linux.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/linux-arm FAQ: http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/mailinglists/faq.php Etiquette: http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/mailinglists/etiquette.php
