Well JFFS2 is not a ROM file system but... The typical problem in doing this is to get the JFFS2 parameters wrong Buildroot (buildroot.uclibc.org) is now setup to generate a JFFS2 file system on dataflash Download buildroot, buuild a file system and set target info to JFFS2.You said that JFFS2 is not a ROM file system, but is it what I need? I need something to save the files I modified in flash. With ramfs, when I change afile and reboot the board, I loose my modifications.
ROM = Read Only Memory. It is inherently NOT possible to write to a ROM. You need a Non-Volatile File System and JFFS2 is OK for this.
I'm going to try to download the latest verison of buildroot to generate theJFFS2 file system.
How should I configure the linux kernel
Include JFFS2 and SPI/Dataflash support at least.
and what is the command line to launch it?
This is boot monitor specific, if you are using U-boot there is documentation on www.denx.de
