Well JFFS2 is not a ROM file system but...

The typical problem in doing this is to get the JFFS2 parameters wrong
Buildroot (buildroot.uclibc.org) is now setup to generate a 
JFFS2 file system on dataflash

Download buildroot, buuild a file system and set target info to JFFS2.
