Until you get the latest version of U-Boot working, a quick workaround is to modify the kernel. In the file arch/arm/tools/mach-types change the line:
at91rm9200ek MACH_AT91RM9200EK AT91RM9200EK 705
for
at91rm9200ek MACH_AT91RM9200EK AT91RM9200EK 262
With that modification it should boot.

Hi - thanks.
After making the edit suggested above, I get this message [0].
This is always the same message and I wonder now if the problem
is in another place because whatever I change in head.S or
mach-types the error is the same. I even did make clean first,
so I wonder if I should just go install the new U-boot as Wolfgang
suggested. I do not know how, so it will be the long way around.
I will need some good docs or howto on doing that if anyone
has some good ones. I think everything I need will be here
