That's just preventing you from running modprobe. If you fixed this problem (by getting appropriate glibc, or recompiling modprobe against the glibc you do have), then you will find a much bigger problem: the version of modprobe you've got only understands 2.4 kernel modules. It will not load .ko modules from 2.6. You will have to update to a later version of modutils (probably, build it from source, because there is not a suitable version on netwinder.org).
