Welcome to arm-linux world !!!. You don't need to
worry about ARM26 dir.

ARM core/IP is developed by ARM limited, using that
core you can build your technology around it. And OMAP
is one of such tech.

For OMAP-Linux support please check:

http://linux.omap.com

Just recently Romain Goyet had announced that he is
able to boot OMAP-Linux on his Palm Tungsten.

For Linux tree check:

http://www.muru.com and join the
linux-omap-open-source mailing list for OMAP specific
questions.
