ramdisk_start doesn't seems to work!

Hi all,
I'm trying to use ramdisk_start option at bootloader of my Linux 2.4.18 compiled for ARM (s3c2410 from Samsung).
My linux_cmd_line is set as:
root=/dev/bon/3 init=/linuxrc console=ttyS0 ramdisk_start=0x33ff0000

In my kernel/drivers/block/rd.c I set NUM_RAMDISKS 1 so under /dev/rd path I have only one directory which should represent (I suppose) the ramdisk device...
If I mount that area as ramfs it seems to work fine and I can read/write from the /mnt/memory mount point.

But memory dump (starting at 0x33ff0000) seems not containing copied files!!!!!

So.. how to use ramdisk_start??

Thanks a lot!
