I need to make it clear that I have 2.6.8 kernel with me and I am using that for cross compilation. My code is not dependent on any kernel or even OS (I am using the same code on windows). Also neither to me nor to my organization, it makes any difference 2.4 is supported or not. So there is no personal problem as such. The only thing I am worried about is such way we will leave behind some community members who are neither capable of writing things for new kernel nor getting help for older one. Any way, I am stopping here. > > > My point is that support for older kernel must not stop suddenly. Give > > people enough time to move to new kernel and have smooth transition.
