Hi Russel,
Maybe the way to break this once and for all is to split this list so that obsolete 2.4 stuff ends up on linux-arm-kernel-obsolete, so that those of us who wish to move forward can do so without having to constantly waste our time reading messages about obsolete kernels. I'm sure I can create some exim filters which will provide adequate protection against mis-posts between either list when kernel versions are mentioned.
You're right!
* Sticking to versions of kernel and tools older that the current
stable ones can make sense for commercial, deadline driven
projects. However, do not expect and do not try to get support
from this online community. If you can't fix your issues by
yourself, get commercial support services. Plenty of providers are
available.
* If you can't pay this price, you will have to pay the price of
upgrading your project to the latest stable versions. Then, you
will share the same goals as this online community and your
messages will be welcome again. That was just a suggestion...
:-)
Michael.
