Ramdisk compressed data limits

Hello,

In a EDB9301(ARM cirrus 9301) linux box booting with redboot and kernel
2.4.21 I'm having the following problem:
"RAMDISK: ran out of compressed data" in the kernel boot.

This is happening in a ramdisk.gz of 5145414 bytes compressed and 12582912
uncompressed.
Another compressed ramdisk of 4178467 bytes work fine.

Is there any limit in the compressed ramdisk?
The kernel messages are printed below.

Does anybody has an idea?
