Pin numbers are different, scoop2 has 9 free pins, ioexp only 8 ports,
but all used pins are physically wired. For unused pins, it's possible
to define an arbitrary mapping - AFAIK, no hardware modders tried to use
it yet.

gpio api would be nice for ioexp as well.

Yes, it should be MAX7310ATE. Here is the data sheet:
