How do most of you go about adding mp3 support to xmms? I tried recompiling both the xmms-mp3 src rpm and the xmms from xmms.org to no avail (didn't do anything once installed and errors during compile respectively). What is your method?

Personally, I don't have a problem hacking RPM spec files and source until it works :-)

However, the easiest way is to go to freshrpms.net and get xmms, xine, etc from there. There's quite a lot of x86_64 stuff there now (as I found out when I accidentally downloaded the wrong version of lame yesterday.
