Continental Airlines July traffic rises 10.8%

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Continental Airlines Inc. (CAL) Tuesday evening said July traffic rose 10.8% to 8.74 billion from 7.89 billion revenue passenger miles during the same period in the prior year. Monthly capacity rose 8.9% to 10.2 billion from 9.4 billion available seat miles. July's load factor, or the percentage of a plane filled with passengers, was 85.4%, compared with 83.9% during the same period in the prior year
