Northwest are due to take their first 330 in May 2003. With regard to the
tens, I was a regular on Glasgow Scotland -Boston on NW35, which was always
operated by DC10-40s, between 1990 and 1994. It was 1991 or 1992 I think
before NW bought their first second hand DC10-30. By 2001, only the series
30s were operating transatlantic, you could see as many as ten during the
day at Amsterdam before 9/11. I don't think there are any significant range
issues between the -30 and the -40, other than a few -30s which are
ex-Swissair and are high gross weight versions, once known as DC10-30ERs.

They might be old, but still better than a Continental or BA 757 across the
pond!
