Hi,

I am trying to do this on centos 5 and centos 6 not yet tried this with Fedora.

It depends on your circumstances.  E.g. if you are trying to Kickstart
Fedora 17, it could be a known bug in anaconda:

See if that matches your situation, otherwise you would need to provide
more details about your setup.
