In the first two cases the kickstart fails and stops. For the %post it gives an error message but it has already run all of my post steps so it doesn't have a functional impact. Without the %end lines, the kickstart file works fine.
Hi there,Not sure where you got "%end" from but I've never heard of it or used it. It's not mentioned in the RHEL5 kickstart documentation starting at http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/html/Installation_Guide/s1-kickstart2-file.html
