Thank you. Just forgot to mention:
- kernel compiled with gcc4 (4.0.1-5)
- kernel should work with TGA video adapters (thanks to Jay's patches)

Any chance you could put the SRPM out there as well?
Yes, I'll upload it.

OBTW, the dependencies when you try to install the new kernel RPM are:

1. mkinitrd
2. udev
3. selinux

This seems a might dangerous (esp. udev); should it be OK if one just
used "--nodeps" or "--force", to avoid having to update these others?
I hope you would use "install" mode of rpm (not update). Keep the old kernels. I believe that kernel should work with AC1 versions of packages above. I can't be sure because I don't have AC1. I did modify mkinitrd script a little bit. Some how the "init" script from initrd could not start "udevstart" execurtable from "/sbin" directory (which is defined as symbolic link to "/bin"). I modified the "init" script to start udevstart from /bin. The udev and selinux packages are unmodified. It seems that new udev takes less time during startup.

Thank you,
