Ok, are we absolutely sure that the claro 2 isn't supported? Is there
anything I can do to make sure? And if the claro 2 isn't supported and how
difficult is developing the drivers for it and how long it could take?

Yes.

That is the *sub*vendor/device ID.  The claro II's is 7284:9787.
