Hello,
I am working through some sound issues with my usb sound card. It is
an alesis io2 express. It has a fixed sample rate of S24_3LE 48000.
I am not using a sound server.
99% of my apps are working perfect.
Each time a new sound/song is started I am getting a lot of noise in
my kernel logs like the following:
[86066.350459] 2:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
[86066.579352] 2:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
[87346.612367] 2:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
[92378.278333] 2:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
[93212.749706] 2:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1
I would guess that this is related to probes for supported sample rates?
As a test I tried something like this my .asoundrc
pcm_slave.sl3 {
pcm "hw:0,0"
format S24_3LE
channels 2
rate 48000
}
pcm.testconv {
type plug
slave sl3
hint {
show on
description "format and sample conversion"
}
}
aplay -D testconv out.wav
same warning.
Tried playing a wav file converted to S24_3LE 48000. Same warning.
Any suggestions on what I need to config to get rid of this warning?
thanks.
brent
