capturing from mixer device | |

Hello all, on my good old Soundblaster live, I could use commands like: amixer cset name="Capture Source" 5 to capture from the mixer. Sometimes this was useful. Recently I installed 2 new computers, one with a card identified as 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia, and one with a card identified as 00:0d.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Audigy LS. from the 'amixer contents' output it looks as if this feature is missing from these newer chips. Has something changed in the way I need to do this, or is there no hardware mixer available in those newer chips, or am I simply missing simething? Kind regards, Henk. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
